NEXT EVENT COMING UP - 2018 MELBOURNE FIJI DAY MULTI-CULTURAL FESTIVAL

This year's Fiji Day Multi-Cultural Festival is shaping up to be the biggest so far with the kind support of our new sponsor the City of Melton. The City of Melton is now the major sponsor of this year's festival. In the presentation of Cheques held last Thursday 28th June by the Melton Council, the Mayor, Cr Bob Turner presented cheques to various other Organisations that share the $84, 000:00 Council grant. The Fijian Community Association of Victoria was blessed to be awarded a sponsorship of $8000:00 to help us present to you a bigger and better Fiji Day Celebration.

With this sponsorship, FCAV is going to run Kids activities, live stage perfomances and other sporting activities for Youths and kids to enjoy a day of festivities and diversity with everyone in the Community.

This year's Fiji Day celebration will be held on Saturday the 13th of October 2018. The venue will now be moved to the City of Melton and will be somewhere around the areas of Caroline Springs, Hillside, Rockband or Melton. The Council officials and the FCAV Events and Fundraising Committee are still in discussion to confirm the best venue that will provide the best fascilities to help us enjoy the celebration.

Last year's Fiji Day Celebration was held at Keysborough under the sponsorship of the Dandenong Council.
